My first week back to school is just about over! Wowzers! One more day until a much deserved three day weekend. My new kiddies are amazing! They have jumped into the routine so quickly! I wanted to give you an update of my jungle pack (my version of a class/family tree). Take a peek!
Since the students have come back SOOOO many of them have asked me if I have Facebook and of course my answer is no. But as often as they asked I thought it would be fun to make a Facebook group for our class in the hallway for Back to School Night. I was going to make my own design but... why reinvent the wheel? I bought this pack Facebook from Teaches Third in Georgia. It was exactly what I needed! Check out our display :)
I was searching for some new ice breakers for this week and came across Ms. Wainwright's Building Classroom Community Pack. I played the Peanut Butter and Jelly game with my kiddies and the adored it! Visit her blog!
Finally, I wanted to give you a SNEAK PEEK into my current project that I am so anxious to use in my classroom. It will be a critical thinking/problem solving pack, where students read short descriptions of dogs and potential families and match them based on evidence in the text. It will have differentiated options, so it will be a perfect fit for 1st through 3rd, based on how it is used. Here is a SNEAK PEEK of one of the dog's descriptions:
I am glad your students loved the icebreakers! Thanks for sharing,
