Product Swap

I am very excited to be included in the second Product Swap,
hosted by Jessica Stanford.
This is such a wonderful idea!
I had the privilege of partnering up with the
WONDERFUL,
FABULOUS,
and
SUPER TALENTED...
Christina Bainbridge
of

When this opportunity arose I was ecstatic!  Christina's blog is one that I have been following/stalking since I started teaching last year!
She always offers SO many fantastic freebies :)

Christina gave me choice of anything from her store!
This was a very difficult decision to make,
since she has 100 products in her shop!

Partner reading is something I wanted to focus on this past week so this was perfect timing!  Her pack prepares students and provides them with the right tools to successfully work with a partner to read with meaning.
Here are two of my sweeties putting their new learning into ACTION!

I took Christina's advice of setting up a "Partner Reading Zone" in the library.
I would have loved it to be a separate area
but my room just isn't big enough for that!
Here is her adorable sign for your special area that
comes horizontal and vertical.
She also includes a set of specific expectations for partner reading.  I love how they are kid-friendly, short, and sweet!
Perfect for the kiddies to review before they begin!

Christina created an another activity, Roll n Read, that students use to determine how they are going to read the story with their partner.  So creative!    My class loves the Echo Read and Double It Up the best!

Christina stocked this pack with activities that can be used with partners but would also be fabulous to use during small or whole group to facilitate meaningful discussions.

Here are the spinners she included:

Talking about reading
Talking about words
 Talking about characters
Nonfiction
Fiction

My kiddies LOVED these!  It was a change from Ms.Tegeler asking questions :) It was motivating and engaging! Win Win!

She also included a Go Fish and Retelling game that uses the same deck of cards to be used with partners or the whole class.  My small groups loved this activity.  It was interactive for the group and because I said it was a 'game',
 it was totally awesome!

Christina created "Somebody-Wanted-But-So" summary cards as well.
These are extremely helpful, especially to my lower kiddies.
They not only state what the student should say for each step but give an EXAMPLE with a well-known story, Goldilocks.
I think the example is what truly help many of my friends!

I hope you decide to check out this fabulous pack!  I will be using it all year in my room.  Click on the picture below to see it in Christina's shop!
It is 20% off until 7 PM tomorrow, Sunday October 7!

I am so thankful for all of Christina's creative ideas!  This pack is wonderful along with her MANY other creations!  She has a ton of freebies as well as amazing products at cost.  Please stop by Christina's blog and shop!  I hope you visit Mrs. Stanford's blog to see the other product reviews!  I know I will be spending some time blog hopping today!

  4. I just love the Forever Home activity! It is so clever! I have a soft spot for rescue pups (I have 9), so this pack is perfect for me! I also really like the Partner reading pack. I use Daily 5/CAFE in my class and this would be perfect for Read to Someone! The Swap is such a neat idea! Thanks for sharing!
