Go Ravens!!

Even though tomorrow is Purple Friday for my Ravens, I decided to do some Ravens’ themed activities.  Even though my school has four second grades we are divided in half.  I have a team partner with my half and between the two of us there are 41 students.  I have one-half of the students for reading and then we switch and I have the other half for math.  I wanted both of my groups to be able to take part in the Ravens’ activities.  I used the craft from Susan Moran’s Football Pack!  She is fabulous!  Check out her blog here! 

Here is what my math kiddos worked on!  This is my example.  I created a math activity book that was completely Ravens’ themed.  My kids freaked out!  They loved it and didn’t want to put it down!

My reading kids created the same craft but had a different task.  They wrote a friendly letter to the Ravens.  They were required to compliment the team, give three suggestions for what the team had to do in order to win, and wish them luck.  I forgot to take close up pictures, but here is our display thus far without the math projects hung.  Who doesn’t LOVE glitter
