File Cabinet Makeover

In most classrooms you will find a plain, normally old file cabinet that looks like this:

I know I needed one of these in my classroom, since after my first year I have accumulated so much stuff!  I wasn't going to buy a brand new one (no $... surprise, surprise) and I knew what I found on Craigslist or at a yard sale was not going to be in the best condition.  So after inspiration from Pinterest I decided once I found one I would give it a makeover to fit in my fun, colorful classroom.  I was lucky enough to find one FREE on Craigslist!  Love that site!  I  purchased:

2 cans of black spray paint with primer for the shell
1 can of pink spray paint for the drawers
1 can of primer spray paint for the drawers

I bought those at Walmart for $3.88 a piece.

After a little bit of work my file cabinet now looks like this:

Just wanted to share my new file cabinet!

  5. Awesome color combination! This file cabinet would sure liven up any classroom or office you put it in! And that wouldn't be possible without your amazing repainting skills, so kudos to you for that!
