Five for Friday & Freebie

I am linking up with Kacey for another...

1.  Look at this adorable note from one of my kiddos for
Teacher Appreciation Tuesday.
The theme this month was classroom cleaning supplies.

2. My new found LOVE for Interactive Science Notebooks.
I attended a training for ISN through my county recently.  I fell deeply in love with them!  I am so excited to jump into these with my kids.  I have started to create the necessary materials for our next science unit.  As I begin to set up things in the classroom for the ISN, my kids are so curious.  I love it!  I will be sure to share my adventures with these!

3. Traveling the U.S.
My students and I have begun our journey through the United States.  They are absolutely LOVING the resources I created.  Find a detailed description here!   My team member and I created this interactive display in our hallway for our students to use for their journey.

4. New Lunch Sign-Up
My students use to have magnets on the back of their names and put them on my desk under their lunch choice.  Well, those magnets didn't last long.  (The roll could have been in the closet since the 80's!)  So I grabbed these pocket charts from the dollar section in Target.  It works so great! In LOVE...

5. New unit in the works....
I am about to begin one of my all-time favorite read-alouds...
James and the Giant Peach :)
I contacted the AMAZING Nikki from Melonheadz Illustrating and
she quickly whipped up the fabulous clipart!
Here is the bulletin board I created where we will display vocabulary words at the top and under each character's name focus on character traits developed throughout the book.  Keep an eye out for my book companion unit!

Finally,  here is a little freebie for you.  In math we have been working on two and three-digit addition with regrouping.  Here is an activity I recently did with my kids!  Enjoy :)
