Types of Eaters Freebie (Interactive Science Notebook)

Today I have my next addition of my current Interactive Science Notebook activities from my animals unit. 

But first I wanted to share some pictures of student samples from my post on the characteristics of mammals

Here is the updated Table of Contents:

The focus of day 4 was the three different types of eaters.

Carnivores, Herbivores, and Omnivores

Students first thought about and responded to this question:

The students shared their thinking and then we watched a

video that showed many animals eating.

We discussed the different foods we saw being eaten and the animals that were eating each types. 

We then began to work on our foldable, taking notes & drawing pictures

to represent each type of eater.

Then students had to pick an animal from the list below and compare what they eat and how they eat to themselves.
